For Authors

         The journal “Science and Innovation” publishes articles and short messages containing information about research, technical developments, promising innovative projects and business know-how from different areas of scientific, technical and thematic materials and reports on conferences, trade and specialized exhibitions and new scientific publications. The journal accepts for publication articles in Ukrainian, Russian and English.

1. General questions of modern science, technology and innovation policy.
2. Scientific basis of innovation.
3. Scientific and technological innovation projects of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
4. The world of innovation.
5. Legal protection of intellectual property.
         The material published in the journal is subject to internal and external review by the Editorial Board members or experts of the relevant field. The reviewing process is confidential. In the event of a negative review or significant remarks the article may be rejected or returned to the author(s) for revision. If the author(s) disagrees with the opinion of the reviewer, by decision of the Editorial Board there may be an additional independent review. After the author makes changes in accordance with the reviewer comments the article is signed for publication.
         The Editorial Board has the right to refuse the publication of manuscripts containing previously published data, and material that do not correspond the journal’s topics or material of research that was conducted in violation of ethical norms (e.g., a conflicts between authors or between authors and an organization, plagiarism and so on). The Editorial Board reserves the right to edit and shorten manuscripts without disrupting the original meaning. Rejected manuscripts are not returned.
Submission of a manuscript to the journal
         The manuscript is submitted to the magazine on paper in duplicate and in electronic form on an electronic storage device (disk, flash drive). The electronic version of the article should fully match with the paper version. The manuscript must be signed by all the co-authors or a responsible representative.
         Total volume of a manuscript: abstracts – up to 2 p.; number of figures – up to 2; short messages - up to 5 p.; number of figures – up to 5; article – up to 20 p.; number of figures - up to 10.
         The manuscript is appended with:
1. An official letter of direction signed by the head of the institution where the work was performed.
2. License agreement on transfer of copyright (contract form is available at the editorial office or online at journal’s website – Contract.pdf). The license agreement enters into force after the approval of the article for publication. The signing of the license agreement by author(s) means that they are familiar and agree to the terms of the contract.
3. Information about each of the authors – last name, first name and patronymic in full, position, place of employment, academic status, scientific degree, contact information (phone, email), ORCID code (if available). Information about the authors is submitted in two languages - Ukrainian and English.
4. Storage device with the article text, figures, tables, information about the authors.
Requirements for article
         The article should be structured in the following sections: Introduction, which outlines the problem statement, the relevance of the chosen topic, an analysis of recent research and publications, purpose and objectives; The main material of the research and the results obtained;Conclusions, which sum up the work and prospects for further research in this direction; References.
         The title page is given in Ukrainian, Russian and English and contains the following information:
1) the name(s) and initials of the author(s);
2) the name of the article;
3) the name of the institution, full postal address, telephone number, fax number, email address;
4) article abstract - no more than 1800 symbols. The abstract must be structured (Introduction, Problem Statement, Purpose, Methods if nessesary, Results, Conclusion), reflect the consistent logic of description of the results and describe the main objectives of the study; Summarize the most significant results.
5) keywords - not more than 8 words.
         The text is typed in 12-point font size double-spaced on A4 paper. Article title, chapter titles are typed in capital letters and highlighted in bold.
         The formulas must be typed in the Equation editor or MatType. Articles with formulas inscribed by hand are not accepted for publication. The values, which are used for the first time, must defined, and then the appropriate term must be used throughout the text.
         The tables are submitted on separate pages and should be made using the MS Word spreadsheet editor. The use of pseudographic symbols is unacceptable.
         The figures are printed on separate pages, not larger than 160×200 mm. The text in the figures must be made using 10 point font size. The measuring units are indicated by commas in graphs. The figures are numbered in order of their location in the text, parts of figures are numbered with letters - a,b,... . The back of the figure has the article title, author(s), figure number written with pencil, the “top” of the figure is indicated by an arrow.
         The captions for figures and tables are typed in the manuscript after the list of literary references.
         The list of used literature sources is given in the end. References are numbered consecutively in order of citation in the text. References to unpublished and unfinished work are unacceptable. References to books (monographs, individual chapters, etc.), articles from scientific periodicals, conference proceedings, patents and copyright certificates, abstracts of dissertations, electronic resources are acceptable.
Titles of articles, monographs, collections, meeting proceedings, report theses, abstracts of dissertations and preprints are specified in full. Articles must have all co-authors, publication name, year, volume, issue, start and end pages indicated, for monographs - the place of publication (city), publisher, year of publication, total number of pages.
         References should consist of two parts: REFERENCES in original and English language.
         REFERENCES (original) — sources in the original language, designed according to the Ukrainian bibliographic description standard (ISO 8302:2015: References. Terms and rules of assembly. Kyiv, 2016).

         REFERENCES — Reference list, translated in English or transliterated into Roman alphabet (using international bibliographic standards). The names of Ukrainian and Russian periodicals (magazines, books, etc.) should be written transliterated, and after, in brackets — in English.

         While referring on the journal "Science and Innovations" please use transliterated name Nauka innov. or Sci. innov.
         Requirements for the electronic version of the article:
1. Text editor MS Word (.doc) must be used.
2. Figures should be presented in EPS and TIFF formats with a resolution of 300 dpi. Figures that are made using software packages for mathematical and statistical processing must be converted to these formats.
3. Photos are accepted in TIFF format with a resolution of 300 dpi.
4. Tags and texts in image files must be in cursive.
         Articles submitted without compliance with the editorial requirements will not be accepted.
         The responsibility for the accuracy of information, facts and other knowledge, references to regulations, citations and proper names, lies with the authors of the publication.
         The material published in the journal reflects the opinions of the authors, which may not always coincide with the position of the Editorial Board.
