The Semiconductor Self-Excitation System of Synchronous Generator with Fuzzy Voltage Regulator

Abstract: The synchronous generator’s voltage control system with the synthesized fuzzy voltage regulator is described. The synthesis of the regulator is carried out with the use of mathematical model taking into account the nonlinearity of synchronous machines and semiconductor converters in the e xcitation system. This distinguishes it from traditional excitation regulators, whose synthesis is based on the use of simplified linearized models. The mathematical modeling results allow to compare the control characteristics in the system with the proposed fuzzy voltage regulator and in the system with a traditional voltage controller.
